What is the difference in styles?

Which cinch do I need?

I make 3 different styles of cinch, single layer straight cinch, a double layer straight cinch (cutter) or a roper cinch.

A single layer straight cinch is just that - single layer. Each cord is individually tied onto the buckle with the knots sitting on the outside of the cinch - away from the horse. The ends of the cord are then woven into the cinch providing extra strength and durability when the cinch is pulled tight.

The single layer is about 5” wide all the way down the cinch providing even coverage for your horse. The center d’s are woven in with 9 rows of cord for added strength.

The double layer straight cinch - Cutter is two layers of mohair where the cord has been wrapped around the buckles and then woven in the cord to keep it in place. The center d’s are woven in with 9 rows of cord for strength.

The cutter cinch is narrower at the buckle than the single layer straight cinch and is really good for young or sensitive horses.

Roper Cinch

Single Layer Straight Cinch

Double Layer Straight Cinch - Cutter

The Roper is kind of crossed between the two single layer and double layer in that it is a single layer and it is woven into the buckle (although they can be tied to the buckle too, just to really confuse you). The major difference is that they are wider in the middle than the other two. Again great for young and sensitive horses as they are narrower at the buckle but they have the wider middle. These are used for roping cattle (hence the name) and can give more purchase for the horse after the cow has been roped.

The center d’s are machined in with nylon casing for added strength.

Make it stand out.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
